While there is no shortage of wonderful beaches to choose from and great places to go splash around and have fun in the water in Greece, it can be nice to have some other options. If you have found a vacation rental in Kos, for example, you could spend a day at Lido Water Park.

Located in the Mastichari area, 25km from Kos' town center, Lido Water Park is one of the largest water parks in Greece at 75,000sqm in size. Home to excellent water slides, multiple swimming pools and lots of other outdoor pursuits and fun things to occupy you, it is a great place for a family day out that everyone can enjoy or a fun day trip destination for a group of pals.

Preveli is one of the most famous beaches in Crete; which is saying something in a place so renowned for its many lovely beaches! If you find a vacation rental in Crete, it is one of the best places to spend a perfect day out.

Located on the central south coast of the island, just a few kilometres from the monastery of the same name, it is an isolated, beautiful and romantic gem that can be reached by car, on foot, or by taking a boat from Plakias or Agia Galini. In the hotter months, walking might not be the best of ideas but buses run daily from Rethymnon town and one can get relatively close by car.

It is worth planning your trip carefully as, due to the fame and acclaim given to the beach, it can get very full of people in the summer months and receives thousands of visitors each year. However, if that doesn't bother you then, by all means, visit whenever you please!

The Gramvousa Peninsula is a peninsula that features two small uninhabited islands off the coast of an area in north-western Crete. If you have found a vacation rental in Crete, it is an impossibly beautiful stretch of coast and just begging to be explored!

As a whole, the area is full of things to see and do and all of it utterly picturesque and idyllic; make sure to bring your camera because you'll want to capture and remember it all! Between the coast and the islands, a lagoon named Balos Lagoon stretches out and it is an iconic beauty.

The perfect sandy beach, the clear warm turquoise water and the stunning surroundings all make for a charming sight to behold. Too many visitors can ruin it as the beach itself isn't actually that big but if you plan your visit early or late in the day or outside the high season for tourists (June to August), you'll find smaller crowds.

For many, Santorini is a dream destination. Few would need any real convincing to find a villa in the South Aegean and to go to this stunning and utterly picturesque place.
